Wordee / Legal
Terms of Service
Effective date: August 19, 2026
These Terms govern your use of the Wordee mobile application and related website. They are effective as of August 19, 2026.
1. The service
Wordee helps you collect, organize, translate, and practice words on Android. Features may include personal dictionaries, selected-text import, automatic translation, pronunciation, game modes, streaks, scores, and optional premium features.
Wordee is a language-learning and organization tool. It is not professional translation, legal advice, medical advice, or a guarantee that a translation is complete, accurate, or suitable for a particular purpose. Check important translations independently.
2. Acceptance
By downloading, accessing, or using Wordee or this website, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service and uninstall the app.
3. Ownership and licence
The Wordee app, website, software, visual design, trademarks, and original content are owned by Dan Vento or used with permission. You receive a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use Wordee for personal, lawful, non-commercial purposes.
You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, sublicense, reverse-engineer, interfere with, or attempt to extract source code from the service except where applicable law expressly permits it.
4. Your content and conduct
You remain responsible for words, translations, notes, imports, and other content you enter or submit. Do not use Wordee to violate the law, infringe another person’s rights, submit confidential information to a translation request without authorization, compromise security, disrupt the service, or create unreasonable risk to yourself or others.
5. Premium subscriptions
Some features may require an auto-renewing premium subscription. Purchases are made through Google Play Billing and entitlement access is managed with RevenueCat. Dan Vento does not receive or store your payment-card information.
- Subscriptions renew automatically at the interval shown by Google Play unless you cancel before the renewal date.
- You can manage or cancel a subscription in your Google Play account settings.
- Cancellation normally takes effect at the end of the current billing period unless Google Play states otherwise.
- Refunds are handled under Google Play’s applicable policies.
- Changing or deleting the app does not necessarily cancel a subscription.
6. Privacy and third-party services
Our handling of information is described in the Privacy Policy. Android, Google Play services, Google Play Billing, Firebase, RevenueCat, Kotzilla, Azure Translator, and hosting providers are third-party services with their own terms and policies. Their availability and behavior may affect corresponding Wordee features.
7. Availability and changes
We may update, improve, suspend, or discontinue parts of the service, including compatibility with devices, operating-system versions, translation providers, or third-party integrations. We may suspend access where necessary to protect the service, users, or legal rights. You are responsible for keeping exports or backups of anything important to you.
8. Disclaimer
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Wordee is provided “as is” and “as available.” We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or suitable for a particular language, device, connection, translation, or learning goal. Translations, pronunciation, synchronization, timing, and device integrations may be affected by operating-system settings, permissions, connectivity, hardware, or third-party services.
9. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Dan Vento will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary loss arising from use of the service, including loss of data, interruption, inaccurate translation, or reliance on learning content. Nothing excludes or limits liability that cannot legally be excluded, including mandatory consumer rights or liability for fraud, intentional misconduct, or death or personal injury caused by negligence where applicable.
10. Applicable law and consumer rights
These Terms are intended for a global audience. They do not remove or limit mandatory consumer, contract, or data-protection rights that apply in your country of residence. Applicable EU data-protection and consumer rules continue to apply where relevant. Any non-mandatory legal question will be handled under the law applicable to the parties and circumstances, without creating an exclusive court clause.
11. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms when the service, payment model, or law changes. The revised version will be posted here with a new effective date. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised Terms, except where applicable law requires another form of notice or consent.
